This exhibit features the groundbreaking works of our founder, Jun Kaneko, and past Lifetime Achievement Award winners. Recognizing individual sculptors who have made exemplary contributions to the field of sculpture. Candidates for the award are masters of sculptural processes and techniques who have devoted their careers to the development of a laudable body of sculptural work as well as to the advancement of the sculpture field as a whole.
In October 2021, KANEKO founder Jun Kaneko received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Sculpture Center, recognizing his exemplary contribution to the field of sculpture. In honor of this award, he has installed pieces from his permanent collection. The entire collection, containing thousands of seminal works, will be housed in the future Collections Building on KANEKO’s campus.
This new Jun Kaneko exhibit is the cornerstone of our new exhibition, FORM, which is open and free to the public during normal gallery hours through the rest of 2021.
