Our volunteers help make our programming possible! By contributing your time, energy, and specialized skills, help us make our exhibitions and events even more spectacular.


Gallery Helper

Help KANEKO in a variety of different ways, both behind the scenes and on the gallery floor. Ranges from assisting during Public Programs and Events, Installation Volunteer, and Day to Day Volunteer.

Public Program and Event Support/Education and Workshop Support

Come join KANEKO for our many Public Programs and Events and help us invite the public to enjoy an engaging experience.

Installation Support

Assist the staff in installing and maintaining the gallery space. Gain valuable experience of the behind-the-scenes work involved with what it takes to put a show together. Get involved by helping turnover a gallery space to get it ready for the next exhibition.

Office Support

Learn about the behind-the-scenes of an Arts Non-Profit through assisting with Day to Day operations, including mail assistance, archiving, and light office work.

Volunteer Docent

Be the face of KANEKO by donating your time in our beautiful gallery. Volunteer Docents learn all about our organization, our current season, and our programming so they can share that knowledge with visitors.

Tasks

  • Interact with visitors of all ages in the gallery, demonstrate interactive exhibits, and educate visitors about gallery mindfulness and our mission of creativity
  • Monitor the gallery floor and make sure the artwork and the visitors are safe
  • Ensure that all of the gallery rules are being followed
  • Answer questions and inform visitors of the artists involved in the current season
