Designed as an educational outreach program for underserved students who have an interest in skateboarding culture. This program will provide the students with dedicated local artists who will help the students navigate the process of adding artistic expression to their skate interests. Each student will be provided with a deck to design and paint. The students will also receive additional materials for building their skateboards and instructions on how to build a skateboard from start to finish.
Provide students a creative outlet and foundational understanding of
skate culture: community building, physical needs of materials, fundamental knowledge of the act of skating, etc
Develop a curriculum that encourages students to apply creative thinking to their extracurricular activities.
Provide a safe and open learning environment.
