KANEKO is hosting a special reception and program to celebrate the John Clement: The Answer Is Love Exists exhibition and the release of John Clement’s exhibition catalogue. Through support from MECA/The Riverfront, KANEKO is proud to host exhibitions of each artist featured in the park and to produce public programs providing community access to the artists and their work.
The multigenerational program will begin at 6:30 pm with KANEKO members having an opportunity to speak with John Clement in the KANEKO Library, followed by a 7:00 pm public, interactive and improvisational sound experience with John Clement and Stacey Barelos, an Omaha-based sound artist who performs, creates and teaches throughout the Omaha community, the U.S. and abroad. The audience will be invited to contribute to the sound landscape with a variety of instruments as they view the art, and to create messages of hope aligned with the exhibition theme.
The John Clement: The Answer Is Love Exists catalogue is a beautifully illustrated hardcover book published by KANEKO. The catalogue examines John Clement’s early and recent works, exploring the themes of love and hope.
