Rhythms & Movement: Reclaiming History through Dance

Join us for an exciting workshop with Aaron Derell Gregory (bio below), exploring the rich cultural heritage of Sinte and Stepping. Experience the rhythmic energy of Sinte, a traditional dance from the Susu people of Guinea, and the vibrant storytelling of Stepping, rooted in African American fraternities and sororities. Through demonstrations and interactive sessions, participants will uncover the connections between these art forms and their cultural significance. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or a newcomer, this workshop invites you to celebrate and engage with these captivating traditions. Come ready to move and connect with fellow dance enthusiasts!
