The Omaha Under the Radar Festival is a multi-day exploration of contemporary and experimental performance work from Omaha and throughout the United States. The event includes new productions of large-scale contemporary masterworks, solo and small group performances curated through a free application process, and an experimental sound and composition workshop called SOUNDRY.

Events will be held from July 20-23, 2022 at KANEKO, The Slowdown, The Jewish Community Center, The Jewell, OutrSpaces, Holy Family Community Center, University of Nebraska Omaha, Millwork Commons, and more locations TBA.

Omaha Under the Radar will present two events at KANEKO as part of the 9th annual festival for contemporary performance. On Friday, July 22, Caroline Kouma will perform You Are Generation Alpha Digital A.I. Clone #1 for voice and electronics by Nolan Hildebrand, Dalia Chin will present her own work for flute, electronics, storytelling, and visual imagery, and sound artist Sener will present a performance using DIY synths, sensor modules, and open-source applications.

About Omaha Under the Radar: Omaha Under the Radar is an annual experimental performance festival in the Midwest. We celebrate cultural innovators with performances throughout the city of Omaha. The festival emerged from a desire to support innovative performers and creators living and working in the Midwest, and to connect this community to other performance communities throughout the United States. Since the first festival, held in 2014, Omaha Under the Radar has presented over 200 artists from more than a dozen cities throughout the United States. We work to represent a multiplicity of genres, ideas, and identities through performances, talks, group discussions and educational opportunities. Learn More ->
