Inside the Jury Room: Choosing Public Art

Celebrate the unveiling of the newest sculptures in the MECA Sculpture Garden! This opening night event will feature an engaging panel discussion that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the public art selection process. This program features a diverse group of jurors—artists, curators, and civic leaders—who were tasked with reviewing proposals and selecting artworks for the MECA Sculpture Garden on the RiverFront.

Panelists will share their experiences and insights into the selection criteria, deliberation process, and the challenges and rewards of making decisions that reflect the values and identity of a community.
