Grown-Up & Me: A Creative Collaboration! 

Inspired by Jun Kaneko’s collaboration with three-year-old Ana Citrin, this unique event invites a child and their favorite grown-up to work together and co-create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. But here’s the twist: the child gets to decide when the piece is finished by declaring “all done!” – putting their voice, intuition, and creative confidence front and center.

The adult is encouraged to support, respond, and create, rather than guide or correct.  Designed to celebrate creativity, connection, and honor the child’s creative lead, this hands-on experience invites each pair to explore ideas, colors, and textures together. This program is recommended for children ages 3-8 years old, along with their caregiver, parent, grandparent, or favorite adult who is ready to listen, collaborate, and make space for their vision.

This event will also feature young entrepreneur vendors from the Omaha Children’s Business Fair and Your Empowerment Studio (YES!), whose missions are to inspire and empower students.
