KANEKO hosted its 12th Great Minds lecture series, featuring Dr. Shane Farritor, on September 7th, 2017.

The Great Minds Series highlights innovators and thought leaders in fields relevant to KANEKO programs. Great Minds speakers have included multi-Grammy winner Rosanne Cash, New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner Nicholas Kristof, scholar on the evolution of play Dr. Stuart Brown, and legendary automotive designer J Mays.

About Dr. Shane Farritor
By developing miniature medical robots, Dr. Farritor seeks to alter the way surgical procedures are performed, thus increasing accessibility to life-saving surgeries. A graduate of MIT, Dr. Farritor studied at the Goddard Space Flight Center and the Kennedy Space Center and is a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. Dr. Farritor will speak about his vision for the future of robot-assisted surgical technologies while exploring the research that lead him and his colleagues to this breakthrough in medical technology.
