Improve with Improv: A jester’s Story to better Presentation

“Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Alice when she found herself in wonderland. If she had been in Omaha she would have been part of the TEDxOmaha Salon on Monday August 20th, because, this is where the curious and inquisitive minds gather. Especially this month because we are taking a deep dive into creativity and improvisation, and bringing the lens to focus on some different perspectives.

What do you see as creativity and what do we mean by innovation? Are they the same, different, connected? Where do you expect creativity and improv to exist and who do we see as creatives and who do we see as innovators? When do you improvise? For example, would you expect your surgeon to be creative? Maybe not, probably not, but together let us explore this interesting topic by starting with the intersection of medicine, music and technology and how that can give us insights into how the brain works during creative activity and improvisation. Together lets us see where the curiosity, conversation and “ideas worth spreading” lead us…maybe Alice will join us!
