Henry Davis grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1969. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Denver in 1973 and upon graduating, began his career at Greater Omaha Packing Company, a family-owned beef processing company.
In 1987, Henry became the President and CEO of the company. As the result of two decades under his strong leadership, the company has grown to become the fifth-largest beef processor in the United States and one of the largest privately owned beef processors in the country.
Henry is highly involved in the Omaha community and currently serves on the boards of Bellevue University, the American Meat Institute, Partnership for Our Kids, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Board of Counselors, and the Foundation Board of the Jewish Federation of Omaha. He is a past member of the Nebraska Governor’s Advisory Task Force, YPO, American National Bank, Catholic Charities, and Omaha Community Foundation and past Chairman of the Enterprise Association Board/Federal Enterprise Community HUD.
