Led by our staff, guided tours will accommodate individuals and groups. All ages are welcome. Space is limited and registration is required. Scheduled tours will begin at the front desk on the 1st floor of the Atrium (east entrance) every Tuesday from 6:30 – 7:30 PM.
If you are looking for a more individualized experience, we offer private guided tours for school groups, homeschool groups and adult organizations. We also have staff that can help develop curriculum-related activities in conjunction with your visit. We ask that we are given 5-days notice in order to prepare for your tour. To cover the cost of our staff’s time and resources, we suggest a small fee of $5 per person. Private Guided tours are offered Tuesday – Friday at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
We partner with the University of Nebraska-Omaha’s Special Education and Communication Disorders Department to offer American Sign Language interpreted tours from 6:30 -7:30 PM on the second Tuesday of each month as part of our public guided tours. While providing a space for community members who sign, talk or use both communication methods to learn about each exhibition, this also allows UNO practicum students the opportunity to practice their interpreting skills. Registration is required. We will offering tours on the following dates:
