Video Game Design: Minecraft Edition
KANEKO Video Game Design: Minecraft Edition camp is an opportunity for students to engage with local professionals to learn about the principles and processes of video game design through the beloved phenomenon of Minecraft. This four-day camp provides a group of 16 students a variety of exciting exercises and fun activities.
Video Game Design: Minecraft Edition // May 30 – June 2
Much more than a simple game, Minecraft is an open world immersive environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem solving. Campers will be introduced to game theory, learn about rule-based systems and interactive narrative design, practice creating games collaboratively, and explore what it means to engage in meaningful play. Students will create mini-games, worlds, logic puzzles and more through the Minecraft game engine to grow their skills in game-creation and design.
Camps are for ages 12 – 15.
Registration is $225 ($200 for KANEKO Members, learn more about KANEKO membership HERE) and includes all materials and lunches, as well as a KANEKO Camp t-shirt and notebook. *Members must log into Altru to claim your membership rate*

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Policies – KANEKO does not offer before or after care for any of our current camp offerings. Please review the KANEKO Camps Pick-Up/Drop-Off Policy waiver upon registration.
Scholarships – KANEKO offers a limited number of camp scholarships to students who qualify. Students must be enrolled in a free and reduced lunch program at school to qualify. Cancellation Policy – Our workshops and camps have limited space in order to create the best experience for our attendees. If you have signed up for a workshop or camp and you cannot attend for any reason, you must notify us at least 72 hours before the start of the first session in order to receive a refund, or all admission, administrative, and material fees are subject to forfeiture.
