Nebraskans for the Arts’ Arts Advocacy Day @ KANEKO
KANEKO | 1111 Jones St
Join Nebraska’s non profit community in a nationwide day of arts activism at Nebraskans for the Arts’ Arts Advocacy Day @ KANEKO on March 21 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Arts Advocacy Day is an opportunity to have your voice heard at the local, regional, and national level. Join forces with arts organizations and fellow citizens to emphasize the value of arts in your community. By reaching out to local, state, and national legislators you can show them the importance of supporting arts funding and positive arts legislation.
What does Arts Advocacy Day @ KANEKO look like?
Like a polling place, KANEKO will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 21 providing advocacy opportunities throughout the day. We will have stations set up for you to make a call, write a letter, send an email and share your support.
Stop in before work, meet a friend over your lunch break, or join us in the evening for a Community Celebration open house. The Community Celebration is an open house event highlighting Omaha’s non profit arts organizations with performances, presentations, and remarks from community leaders.
If you are a local organization that would like to be a part of Nebraskans for the Arts’ Arts Advocacy Day, you can reserve your organization’s booth space by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
