As part of the Passion & Obsession season, ætherplough performed a variety of dance styles that provided tools and infrastructure to encourage risk-taking and innovation.

Genesis 2.0: ætherplough’s artistic director Wai Yim revisited the well-known creation story by re-examining its different themes through a variety of dance forms, including butoh, aerial silk, burlesque and modern dance. The show featured provocative costumes by Dan Richters, the Omaha designer known for his collections involving beautiful, seductive silicone molds. Omaha favorite, Roxanne Nielsen, was back as a choreographer and performer, alongside an ensemble of artists including Jorge Ambriz, Karen Bahr, Erin Clark, Steffani Jiroux, Jeremy Sczepaniak and Nick Zadina. Jun Kaneko’s graphic paintings were the backdrop to Eden, his sculptures represented the tree of knowledge and the tree of life.About ætherplough.
